Fountains of Wayne – Hackensack

Jeerrr-zzzzz!

Duran Duran – Ordinary World

My introduction to Duran Duran was this 1993 comeback single. I went out shortly after, scraped together $15 and bought this album on cassette (Duran Duran, second self-titled album….aka The Wedding Album). Yes, cassette. Good times.

The song was later used during an ultra violent scene from the film L4yer Cake. Extremely fucked up scene, great movie.

And I’ll also post this scene for good measure because what’s her face is way hot.

Flaming Lips – Convinced of the Hex

Well done, Lips. Well done.

Editors – No Sound But The Wind

From the new Twilight New Moon soundtrack. Lots of good soundtracks this year!

Karen O and the Kids – Heads Up

From the Where the Wild Things Are soundtrack. Just read the book for the first time in about 20 years easy. Can’t wait to see the movie.

Washed Up – Feel It All Around

Micachu & The Shapes – Golden Phone

They look incredibly un-hip, but they make some fun music. Although I shouldn’t be throwing stones about looks :P

Built To Spill – Hindsight

Track from their new album There Is No Enemy, released earlier this month. Good stuff, great album.

Elvis.

The jukebox in the bar last night was playing Elvis Presley. Here are a couple of my favorites:

An American Trilogy:

Suspicious Minds:

The Antlers – Kettering

Haunting.
